Hayley Mills – The Michael Billington Interview

Hayley Mills is one of Britain’s most loved and iconic child actresses of the 1960s, chosen by the great Walt Disney himself for stardom and success. She became an international award- winning actress, a genuine movie star who was under a long-term contract to Disney and had a carefully protected public image. Her recent autobiography Forever Young (2021) gives a frank account of her young life as an actress. In conversation with theatre critic Michael Billington, Hayley discusses her early years in Hollywood, surviving childhood stardom and her acting career on stage, film and T.V.
